Den eviga balansen där allt alltid möts i mitten

Tumble dryer

General Permalink0
The last few months can literally be compared with living in a tumble dryer. Which generally is the story of my life, but instead of calming down with age as I thought, and suppose in a way hoped it would do, this tumble dryer only seem to increase its speed.

Two and a half months ago I went back to Bali, straight back into the djungle, the monkey forest and the rice fields. Back to Ubud, which can be translated to  'the healing town'. Straight into a bubble of yoga, meditation, spirituality, dance, life changing books and deep conversations with strangers I felt like I'd known my whole life. Once again, I spent a month in this transforming place. I feel at home in this town, more at home than I have at any other place. For me, this is a place to get inspired and grow. And I certainly did.

From Bali, I took a spontaneous trip to Sydney where I explored areas I haven't before, met people I'd missed, learnt more about yoga, danced styles I haven't danced and tried, unsuccessfully, to figure my life out.

A couple of weeks later I flew to New Zealand.

So now I'm in Wanaka.

This small town, surrounded by mountains, rivers, lakes and forest is the most beautiful place I've lived in. And I've lived in many beautiful places. The dynamic energy from the mountains is so powerful that sometimes I don't know what to do with my self. This whole place, with all its combinations seems to bring out the best of people. Every single one I've met here embraces everyone for what they are, share positive experiences and approach strangers and friends with nothing but kindness. I share a house with ten other girls and three guys. In this house we come from England, Sweden, Germany, Japan, USA and Belgium. At the moment I work in a little local, organic shop and for rent I help to clean the hostel next door a couple of hours, five days a week. When I need extra money I give treatments - massage, kinesiology or healing. If everything goes according to plan I'll start working at a small spa next week, doing treatments there as a self employed.

I love my time here, and knowing I won't stay for too long probably makes me appreciate it even more. . I'm in love with my morning yoga routine, with the hikes around here, with all the people, the nature (especially the mountains) and on Sunday we'll finally put our snowboard boots on and on and on and on for the rest of this season!

If everything goes according to plan (which, in my case it never does) I'll be going to Sweden in the end of August.

Until then, I'll absorb this place as much as I can.
